“Anna” is a portrait of outward calm and inner tension. The photograph operates with minimal means, focusing on proximity and presence, through which pain is not presented as a dramatic event, but as a state—one that can exist quietly, daily, and without external signal.
The photograph is part of the Inner Pain, series, in which Jan Škop transforms invisible psychological states into a concrete, bodily destructive form. The work has been recognized in the MonoVisions Photography Awards 2024, Muse Photography Awards 2025, and reFocus Awards 2025, and has been exhibited in numerous exhibitions in the Czech Republic and internationally.
The prints are produced on archival, 100% cotton papers of the highest quality (Hahnemühle Photo Rag®), using pigment-based inks that meet museum standards. These materials ensure long-term stability, color fidelity, and depth of image, with a lifespan exceeding 100 years under proper conditions.
Each print is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and is hand-signed, numbered, titled, and dated on the reverse. A white border is included with each print to allow for professional framing.
This photograph is available as a limited edition fine art print in several sizes and editions:
